Between the Marquês de Pombal roundabout and the Restauradores square there is the biggest most famous Lisbon avenue: the Avenida da Liberdade.

Inspired by the Paris’s Champs Elysées, in Avenida da Liberdade you can find the most luxurious and exquisite shops from all the world wide known brands.

These include Cartier, Carolina Herrera, MiuMiu, Louis Vuitton, Prada, Dolce & Gabbanna, Armani, Gucci, Burberry, and many others that sell clothes, accessories and jewelry from Dior, Chanel, Versace, Balmain, Givenchy, Christian Louboutin, Stella McCartney or Michael Kors.

You can also find exclusive hotels and the iconic Tivoli Theatre, and even the Parque Mayer, where you can see the typical Portuguese vaudeville performances, known as ‘teatro revista’. Lisbon’s Hard Rock Café is also in the bottom of the avenue.

The streets of the avenue are all decorated with lush gardens and the classic ‘calçada portuguesa’ (traditional Portuguese flooring). Along the Avenida da Liberdade you can also see many landmarks and statues of Portuguese figures, such as Alexandre Herculano and Almeida Garrett.
